Itinerary:

DAY 1 – Travel to Vancouver, BC Depart home city and arrive in the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver. Rest of day is at leisure.

DAY 2 – VancouverVictoria, BC Today spectacular gardens and unique Victorian era architecture await in Victoria – the capital city of the Province of British Columbia. The best way to get there is aboard a bright white BC Ferry. Visit the beautiful Butchart Gardens to stroll through the famous gardens and elaborate fountains. Be treated to a city tour of this elegant old–world city. (B, D)

DAY 3 – VictoriaVancouver, BC Say “cheerio” to Victoria and travel by ferry back to the mainland. Upon arrival in Vancouver take a city tour and discover why Vancouver is often called the most captivating city in Canada. See Stanley Park, Chinatown, Gastown and English Bay. This afternoon experience the thrill of the Capilano River at the Capilano Suspension Bridge. (B)

DAY 4 – Vancouver – Whistler, BC via Whistler Mountaineer Rail Depart Vancouver on–board the Whistler Mountaineer for a three–hour train journey, which features a waterfront route along the shores of Howe Sound, Shannon Falls, Brandywine Falls and Cheakamus Canyon. All guests have access to the open–air observation car, offering fresh air and unrestricted views of spectacular scenery. Transfer to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the afternoon sauntering through the “pedestrian only” village. (B)

DAY 5 – Whistler – Quesnel, BC via Rocky Mountaineer Rail Board the world famous Rocky Mountaineer train for a two–day journey traveling the Fraser Discovery Route. Enjoy breathtaking scenery, including the winding lakeshores of Anderson and Seton Lakes, the desert like conditions of the Fraser Canyon and the vast ranchlands of the Cariboo Plateau. Follow the Fraser River to Quesnel for an overnight stay. (B, L)

DAY 6 – Quesnel – Jasper, AB via Rocky Mountaineer Rail Continue through the forests of B. C., home of plentiful wildlife, including a large population of moose. Enter the Rocky Mountain trench, where the mountains rise steeply to the north and the Cariboo Mountains soar to the south. Watch for Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies before arriving in Jasper in the early evening. (B, L)

DAY 7 – Jasper, AB Ride up Whistler Mountain on the Jasper Tram and enjoy breakfast at the top. Take a boat cruise on beautiful Maligne Lake to Spirit Island to see one of the most celebrated mountain views in the world. Enjoy a gentle float trip down the Athabasca River. This evening delight in an Alberta Beef Barbeque Dinner. (B, D)

DAY 8 – Jasper – Banff, AB Journey south today through the Icefields Parkway, an endless succession of scenic wonders. View the dramatic Athabasca Falls before arriving at the Columbia Icefields, for a special Ice Explorer Ride up to the icefields. A special stop will be made at the unforgettable Peyto Lake before arriving at Lake Louise, one of the more picturesque spots in the world. (B, D)

DAY 9 – Banff, AB Sightseeing today includes a scenic drive along the Tunnel Mountain Loop, and a visit to the Cascade Gardens, one of Canada’s finest historic landscapes and beautiful Bow Falls. Enjoy a spectacular tram ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain for a panoramic view of the village of Banff. Lunch followed by a historical tour will lead us to the magnificent Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, also known as the “Castle in the Rockies.” (B, L)

DAY 10 – BanffCalgary, AB A short drive brings us to Calgary. Stop at Canada Olympic Park, the site of freestyle skiing, bobsleigh, luge and ski jumping events during the 1988 Olympic Winter Games. Enjoy a tour of the metropolitan City of Calgary. This evening share memories at a farewell dinner. (B, D)

DAY 11 – Calgary – Home Before saying goodbye, take a high speed elevator to the Observation Deck of the Calgary Tower, a staggering 525 ft. above the ground. Transfer to the airport for the flight home. (B)
